Job responsibilities

Administration

To have a good understanding of all practice procedures including health and safety, security and confidentiality Scanning hospital correspondence to patient’s medical record and integrating electronic post into the clinical system Read coding any procedures, diagnoses, results etc. accurately from correspondence received from secondary care. Support all staff with IT issues (including printer errors, clinical system issues etc.) Supporting the Admin Team with C-the-Signs software to help record diagnoses, appointment dates and referrals

Reception

Cover all reception duties including:

Answering the telephone and dealing with patient queries/ booking appointments when required Processing repeat prescription requests as per practice protocol Opening/ sorting incoming post Actioning daily tasks on behalf of the GP Filing/ pulling patient paper records Ensure medical record data is up to date and of a high standard including patient name and address Registering new patients ensuring they are within the practice area Booking interpreters for appointments that require the interpreting service Monitoring the prescription email address

Other tasks:

Ensure tea/ coffee/ milk etc. is kept replenished in the staff room using petty cash To ensure building security through the knowledge of the alarm, doors, windows etc. Any other tasks given to you by managers

Training:
Business Admin Level 3

The post-holder will participate in any training that the Practice deems necessary as part of your employment. This training may include:

GDPR Awareness Information Governance Confidentiality Safeguarding Basic life support SystmOne Clinical System training

At Crystal Peaks Medical Centre we take pride in delivering high quality care and run clinics for chronic disease management and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery including joint injections, childhood vaccinations, contraceptive implants and coil fitting. We have allied professionals working on site delivering counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy (IAPT workers), as well as physiotherapists and our midwife.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday. Shifts to be confirmed.
