Our client is seeking a PE Teacher to join their school.

The Role:
The main purpose of the role is to work with the PE Subject Leader, and other subject areas to ensure that PE contributes to the ethos of the Academy and to promote the profile and status of the subject.
Duties:
? Maintaining high expectations of students' behaviour and achievement, and to establish excellent relationships with students.
? Monitoring and recording the progress of students using Assessment for learning strategies and in accordance with Academy assessment policies.
? Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of developments within your subject specialism.
? Working under the direction of the PE Subject Leader and to liaise or work with other department staff to develop the curriculum.
? Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of the policies and practice of the Academy, including those designed to promote equality of opportunity.
? Contributing to the wider life of the Academy, including the planning and delivery of enrichment activities such as field and residential trips and extra-curricular clubs.
Requirements:
? Previous experience in a similar role
? QTS (or working towards)
? A degree or equivalent.
? Relevant specialist qualifications and experience in your subject specialism with the ability to teach up to KS4.
? Excellent classroom practitioner.
? Secure knowledge and understanding of a range of Assessment for Learning strategies.
? The implications of the Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs for teaching and learning in PE.
