The role As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering lessons using the work provided by the class teacher and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Your responsibilities may include:
Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjectsManaging classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environmentSupporting students with their learningTaking registers and following school proceduresProviding feedback to school staff where appropriateEnsuring students remain engaged and focused throughout the lessonWe would like to hear from you if you have:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or relevant classroom/education experienceExperience working with secondary-aged studentsStrong classroom management skillsConfidence working across different subjectsA calm, professional and adaptable approachThe ability to build positive relationships with students and staffExperienced Cover Supervisors and unqualified teachers are also encouraged to apply, depending on experience.
