PE Teacher / Sports Coach – Flexible Supply Work
Are you a PE Teacher, Sports Coach or experienced sports professional looking for flexible work in schools across Eastbourne?
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to support schools on a supply basis from September. This is a flexible opportunity where you can choose to work full-time or part-time, making it ideal for those looking to fit school work around other commitments.
QTS is not essential for this role. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience coaching or teaching sport who are confident working with young people.
The roleAs a PE Teacher / Sports Coach, you may be asked to:
Deliver PE lessons and sports activitiesFollow lesson plans and activities provided by the schoolSupport students in developing their sporting skills and confidenceMaintain a positive and safe learning environmentManage groups of students effectivelyEncourage participation and positive attitudes towards sportAdapt activities to suit different abilitiesSupport the school with general cover where appropriateWe are looking for people with:Experience teaching, coaching or leading sports activitiesConfidence working with children or young peopleGood communication and classroom/group management skillsA positive and enthusiastic approachThe ability to engage students and encourage participationReliability and flexibilityQTS is desirable but not essentialThis could suit a qualified PE Teacher, Cover Supervisor, Sports Coach, former professional athlete, sports graduate or someone with strong experience delivering sports activities to young people.
