Tractor Mechanic Apprentice

Working within an existing team of mechanics in our purpose built workshop. You will be required to ensure machinery is safe and fit for purpose by carrying out routine checks and the required repairs as needed.

Assist with servicing, maintenance and repairs of tractors and agricultural machinery. Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic faults. Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance. Prepare machinery for seasonal operations. Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment safely and correctly. Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop. Attend college or apprenticeship training as required. Complete apprenticeship coursework and assessments. Follow all company health and safety procedures. Routine maintenance checks. Maintenance as required following checks. Safe working procedures.  Learning new skills & knowledge.

Training:

The Engineering will typically take between 12-18 months to complete. You will attend College for one day a week.



Training Outcome:

To progress in a mechanical position, specifically in agriculture.
