A leading facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support high-profile contracts operating within a retail environment.

This role requires someone who understands the pace, terminology and compliance expectations of safety related operations. You will play a key role in embedding a strong safety culture across hard services and engineering delivery, ensuring compliance, consistency and continuous improvement.

The Role

Lead health & safety strategy across the contractsEnsure full compliance with EN ISO standards (45001)Act as the subject matter expert for safety within a live operational retail environmentConduct audits, inspections and risk assessments across multiple sitesSupport operational teams in safe delivery of services within regulated environmentsInvestigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actionsEngage with client stakeholders, ensuring alignment with safety expectations and standardsDeliver training, toolbox talks and ongoing safety briefingsDrive continuous improvement in safety performance and reporting

About You

Proven experience in a Safety Manager or senior HSEQ role within facilities managementWorking knowledge of EN ISO 45001 and EN ISO 9001 systems and complianceIOSH or NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)Confident communicator, able to influence operational teams and senior stakeholdersProactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focusedComfortable working across multiple sites in a fast-paced, operational setting

Experience & Skills

Experience managing safety within high-footfall, public-facing environmentsStrong audit, reporting and compliance management capabilityAbility to build relationships with both internal teams and external clientsExperience driving behavioural safety and cultural change initiatives
