Engineering Technician Apprentice

· Carry out precision soldering of instrumentation wiring and surface-mount electronic components.

· Prepare, check and organise components and materials against bills of materials (BoMs).

· Assemble, wire and finish products to approved drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures.

· Complete systematic functional and quality testing, identifying any non-conformances or build issues.

· Record results accurately and produce detailed, traceable test reports.

· Work with Electronics Engineers, Mechanical Engineers and production colleagues to resolve technical issues and meet project requirements.

· Support customer installations and other technical activities, including occasional travel where required.

· Contribute to continuous improvement, safe working practices and the efficient operation of the business.

Your work will contribute to technology used across renewable energy, mining, marine, defence, automotive and rail applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, detail-focused technician who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys solving problems and wants to develop within a collaborative engineering environment.



Training:

Training will be delivered at Northumberland College 1 day per week. 



Training Outcome:

There may be the possibility of full time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
