Traffic Planner Apprenticeship

As part of your apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience supporting a busy transport operation. Typical daily activities include:

Assisting with planning and organising deliveries and collections across the UK Scheduling vehicle loads to maximise efficiency and customer service Managing trailer movements and helping ensure vehicles are available when needed Communicating with drivers, warehouse teams, customers and colleagues Monitoring delivery performance, vehicle utilisation and key operational targets Booking collection and delivery times with customers Updating Transport Management Systems (TMS) and maintaining accurate records Completing administrative tasks such as data entry and document management Attending operational meetings and contributing ideas for continuous improvement Following company procedures and health and safety requirements

Training:

The apprentice will join the Gregory Planner Academy with a structured learning plan starting from day 1. This is supported by onsite training with SP Training to gain a level 2 Transport Operator Apprenticeship. 

Training Outcome:

Transport Planner initially with the potential to progress to Transport Operator in time.
