Maintenance Engineer
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join a rapidly growing privately owned engineering business on a permanent basis, with generous holiday allowance, cycle to work scheme, modern state of the art factory, are just a few of the perks that you will enjoy whilst working with this impressive organization.They are a successful and rapidly growing privately owned business providing heat treatment, gear cutting and surface engineering of metal components to a wide range of blue-chip customers, they are looking to increase headcount at their Huddersfield site by recruiting a Warehouse Operative on a permanent basis.This employer is based in Huddersfield and the successful candidate will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Oldham, Rochdale, Halifax, Brighouse, Bradford, and Elland.Key Accountabilities:
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities in order to facilitate the move from breakdown to planned maintenance on site.
Analyse equipment data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards maintenance.
Participate in the construction, installation and commissioning of new plant/machinery and upgrades.
Read and interpret mechanical diagrams, schematics, maintenance manuals and parts catalogues.
Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures.
Consistently perform asset maintenance activities in order to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard via weekly inspection format.
You will possess the following:
A recognised Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification (apprenticeship, HNC, HND or similar) within a manufacturing business
Ideally will be Electrically biased with 18th Edition
Previous experience maintaining various factory equipment, machinery, and plant
What is on offer:
Salary of 35-40K dependant on experience
Working hours are 7am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday
Frequent Overtime available
On call work – respond and attend to critical issues evening & weekends
Holiday Entitlement: 31 days per annum
Cycle to work scheme: Eligible after successful 3-month probation period
