Finance Assistant Apprentice
Posting invoices, credit notes, bank payments and receipts on QuickBooks Checking and reconciling supplier statements and resolving any queries Recording commission received onto clients’ accounts on Intelligent Office Chasing outstanding commissions with providers Corresponding with HMRC to resolve client related queries Assisting with the preparation of self-assessment tax returns Liaising with other departments to achieve accounts department objectives Supporting the accounts department with ad-hoc administration when required Filing and general admin

Personal Specification:
Excellent attention to detail Good communication skills, both written and verbal Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook) An outgoing personality A flexible work approach Effective time management and organisational skills (able to prioritise) Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction, able to maintain confidentiality and handle matters discreetlyThis role will be supported by Starting Offs AAT Level 3 qualification.
Training:
AAT Level 3 Remote training delivery One file VLE 6 hours of dedicated training time every week
Training Outcome:
Possible full time permanent position upon completion of the apprenticeship

My client is a Chartered Financial Planning Firm with a Discretionary Asset Management and Tax planning arm. Working in a small office environment for a growing business, this is an exciting and varied role working within the accounts department to support and assist the accounts team across a broad range of accounting and administration duties. They are now looking for an apprentice to join their friendly team in Northampton.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 with 1 hour for lunch.
