HR Support Apprentice
HR Administration
Maintain and update employee records accurately (electronic and paper files)
Assist with onboarding processes, including issuing contracts and new starter documentation
Support offboarding processes, including exit paperwork and system updates
Ensure HR systems are kept up to date and compliant with data protection requirements
Recruitment & Selection
Employee Support Act as a first point of contact for basic HR queries Provide administrative support for employee relations cases (e.g., note-taking in meetings) Help prepare HR letters such as confirmations, changes to terms, and policy communications
Learning & Development Support training coordination and booking Maintain training records and monitor compliance Assist in organising internal development programmes
HR Projects & Reporting Contribute to HR projects and initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, wellbeing initiatives) Assist with HR data reporting and analysis Prepare basic reports using HR systems and Excel
Skills Required Strong organisational and administrative skills Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality awareness Good communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook) Willingness to learn and develop in an HR environment
Training Outcome:
Progression onto the HR pathway along with internal promotion possibilities.
