Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire
Salary: £25k - £35k DOE
Our client currently have a fantastic opportunity available for a driven and creative Product Designer or Design Engineer to join their Design team.
Working with the Design team, designing and preparing products for manufacture to be used in Point of Sale and Lottery.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Designing components and products for the retail environment* Sketching
* Concept development
* CAD
* Realistic rendering
* Prototyping
* Testing
* Artwork preparation
* Preparing engineering drawings
* Preparation of production files
* Project lead and ownership
* Product handover and sign off with production team
* Supporting the design team in concept development from briefs supplied
* Buildings and preparing presentations for sales presentations
* Keeping abreast of the latest trends in POS design and manufacture
* Presentation creation
Experience Required:
* Experienced using Solidworks, CAD
* Drawing components and assemblies
* Engineering drawings
* Realistic rendering
* Overview of adobe products like Photoshop and Illustrator
* Used to working on Microsoft office
* Portfolio examples of previous work to date
* Experience of 1+ years in a similar role (manufacture, engineering, design)
* Knowledge of manufacture and production processes important
* Highly proficient in spoken and written English
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
