Since their establishment over 160 years ago, they have become a household name within a number of high-profile industries including Oil & Gas and Power Generation, and now employ over 15,000 people across 180 facilities world-wide.Because of the continued growth and demand of their services at the Sheffield facility, E3R are actively searching for an Mechanical Technician on their behalf.As an Mechanical Technician, you will be based at the SHEFFIELD workshop but may be required to travel to the customer other sites & facilities.The SHEFFIELD based workshop is easily commutable from surrounding towns & cities including Chesterfield, Mansfield, Worksop, Doncaster, Barnsley, Wakefield and Huddersfield.Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician:

Carrying out repair, overhaul and refurbishment work on a range of industrial equipment both in the workshop and at customer sites (mainly domestic with occasional international travel)
Stripping/dismantling, inspecting, diagnosing faults and testing a vast range of industrial rotating equipment, including LV & HV, AC & DC Motors, Generators, Pumps and Power Transmissions/Gearboxes

For the Mechanical Technician role, we are keen to see CVs from individuals who possess:

IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL: Formal qualifications within a relevant Engineering discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC, HND, BTEC or similar)
Stable work history and experience within a Service focused position
Knowledge of and experience working with industrial rotating equipment (motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, turbines, generators etc.)

Working Hours of the Mechanical Technician: Regular day shifts working 40 hours per week

Monday to Friday – 08:00 to 16:00
Regular overtime available paying 150%+
Site work paying up to 200% + allowances + expenses

Basic Package of the Mechanical Technician:

Base Salary: Up to £37,190.40 / £17.88 per hour
Potential to earn up to £70,000 per annum with site work and overtime
Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including public holidays
9% Combined Pension Scheme (4% employer / 5% employee)
Company wide annual bonus up to £1,700.00
