Supply Chain Apprentice

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day activities of the Supply Chain team, helping to ensure the efficient flow of materials and components required to meet customer demand and production schedules. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing within a fast-paced electronics environment.

Requirements of the Role:

Assist with the purchase of electronic components, raw materials, and production consumables. Monitor supplier deliveries and update delivery schedules. Assist in monitoring and resolving material shortages to minimise disruption to production schedules. Place purchase requisitions on approved suppliers. Maintain accurate data within the SAP system. Assist with purchase order creation, expediting, and supplier communications. Support production planning activities through the accurate maintenance of planning data within SAP. Generate and analyse supply chain reports. Work closely with Purchasing, Planning, Program, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams to support operational objectives. Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements. Maintain accurate master data, purchase order information, and inventory records within SAP to support effective planning and procurement activities. Provide administrative support to the Supply Chain team as required.

Training:

Training will take place on site, with support at Hartlepool College.

Monday to Thursday 8am to 4.30pm, Friday 8am to 2.30pm 38 hours a week
