Apprentice Healthcare Support Worker

Tasks will include:

Supporting the personal care of patients Helping with nutrition Helping with bed making and similar duties, as well as associated administrative tasks You will be working in shifts to meet the service need, building the skills and competences need to further your career in nursing

Training:

Successful completion will lead to you being accredited with the Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship standard, which includes:

One day a week will be spent with the learning provider This will either be on site at Castle Hill Hospital or at the college in Queen's Gardens, Hull Level 3 Diploma in Healthcare Support

Training Outcome:
This apprenticeship is both outstanding and unique; outstanding in that it will give you the foundation skills necessary to build your career, and unique in that it will provide you with the entry criteria to apply for the Registered Nurse Degree Programme (Adult Pathway) or Nursing Associate (Adult Pathway) with the University of Hull Please note that other universities and health care programmes may require further qualifications

Working Hours :
Shift patterns to be confirmed. Generally, shifts will be Monday to Friday with study days expected to be at the college on a Wednesday. As we are a 24/7 service, shifts to be confirmed, including some evenings and weekends (hence 18 years plus).
