Navis Consulting are looking for an experienced Fabrication Operations Manager with relevant experience in yard management and construction of offshore projects. The Operations Manager is a senior role which involves overseeing the production of work at services in the Fabrication Facility. It’s the operations manager's role to make sure the facility is running as well as it possibly can, with a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of the projects and client.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Managing all aspects of the day-to-day activities of the Fabrication Facility and for management of all critical disciplines within the facility like Construction Management, Yard Supervision, Operations Engineering, HSES, Quality, Material Management, Warehousing, Fabrication Planning, Change Management and Cost Control.
Establish Yard manning plan and liaising with HR to ensure requirements are met
Establish, obtain approval and maintain the operational budget
Ensuring works at site are performed productively
Establish, obtain approval and maintain Capex Schedule and Budget
Establish and maintain the Equipment schedule and Budget
Allocating labour and equipment sources to project
Ensuring the work is carried out to Approved for Construction drawings and specifications
Ensuring that all fabrication personnel are aware of standards to be followed
Implementing remedial action to recover any slippages in fabrication schedules
Ensuring that all Safety and Quality standards set by Management are understood effectively transmitted to the workforce and followed
Ensuring all training needs are established and met for fabrication personnel
Developing the assigned annual operating budget, monitor budgeted performance to ensure adherence to budget, identify variances, and implements cost reduction strategies when required.
Experience / Education Required:
B Sc. Engineering in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent
20 years relevant experience in fabrication operations, project management, yard management and construction of offshore oil and gas projects.
