Industry Software Apprentice
Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications Support debugging and troubleshooting of software issues Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Participate in code reviews and team meetings Contribute to software testing, including unit and integration testing Work with databases, including writing basic SQL queries, Excel / CSV file manipulation Assist in maintaining and improving existing systems Support integration with third-party systems and APIs Help manage version control systems Participate in software deployments and updates Create and maintain technical documentation Provide basic technical support to internal teams where required Stay up to date with emerging technologies and development practices Follow company development standards, security policies, and best practices.As part of the Service Department, the Industry- Software Apprentice is responsible for technical support, delivery and ensuring software functionality is delivered as expected. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a recognised qualification in software engineering.
You will provide first line support to major UK customers as well as providing updates to stakeholders including UK-based customers, service operations and the sales team. You will work alongside experienced Software Engineer assisting with real-world projects and develop technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment.
All in-house products will be provided; however, the individual must be working towards having high levels of understanding of software languages which are essential for the design of bespoke solutions.

Training:

Training Outcome:
A permanent position may be on offer, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, with 1 hour daily unpaid lunch.
