Pyrometry Apprentice
Technical Competence
Develop an understanding of thermocouple types, selection, and applications Build knowledge of key aerospace standards and customer specifications Carry out pyrometry instrumentation calibration activities Perform System Accuracy Tests (SATs) Set up and conduct Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUSs) in accordance with dimensional drawings Develop an understanding and operate multiple Pyrometry Control Systems, electrical and gas driven across various temperature rangesSystems & Process Knowledge
Gain experience of Area Control and Recording Systems across different software platforms Produce accurate and detailed calibration and test reports, including as found and as left results Develop an understanding of preventative maintenance and scheduling systemsProblem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Learn how to fault-find, diagnose, and resolve technical issues Support continuous process improvement initiatives Assist in project planning and executionTraining:
An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. You will be expected
to work towards the Level 3 Engineering maintenance technician - single discipline with support from your employer and the Chesterfield College Group.
Training Outcome:
Full time position with the company.
