Apprentice Teaching Assistant
To work with individual children having special or particular needs in accordance with the child's statement where appropriate and/or groups of children asdirected by the teacher
To provide support to the Headteacher/Teacher across a range of child centred activities to promote child development and learning
Participate in preparation of the classroom
Monitor children's need and reporting these to a designated person
Act in accordance with school policies and procedures and relevant legislation, particularly in relation to child protection and behaviour management
Training:
Teaching Assistant Level 3
The apprentice will work within the school setting and undertake the formal qualification with Boston College, which may consist of college days throughout the apprenticeship
Training Outcome:
A career within an education setting.

The Pilgrim School has an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in supporting secondary age young people in the classroom in an alternative setting. The apprentice would be training towards the Level 3 qualification and would suit someone who has recently left Further Education and wants a different route rather than university. The Pilgrim School has an established and highly effective team of permanent members of staff. The successful candidate will be supported and provided with a range of CPD opportunities.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday with specific working hours being discussed at interview.
