Apprentice Manufacturing Engineer

Working in all departments across the business you will work on the following tasks and responsibilities:

Support Design to Manufacture: Assist in bringing design programmes into manufacture, ensuring products are launched on time, cost-effective, and of the right quality Occupational behaviour: develop a mindset of health and safety first, adhering to a disciplined and responsible approach to manage, mitigate and avoid risk Develop Core Engineering Skills: Gain hands-on experience with various manufacturing techniques, including CAD modelling, CNC machining, and assembly Collaborate with Engineers: Work closely with other engineers and managers to manage projects and improve processes Gain Practical Experience: Participate in on-the-job training and learning opportunities to develop technical analysis, process improvements, and collaboration skills

Training:
The apprentice will be working towards the Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard (Mechanical Pathway) Qualifications include: Level 4 HNC in Engineering or Manufacturing College attendance will be at the Colchester Institute - Colchester Campus one day per week during term time

Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate can progress to a career in production engineering, sales engineering, project engineering, research and development, supervision and management.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday in line with the working hours of the department in which the apprentice is placed.
