Teaching Assistant Apprentice
Under the guidance of the class teacher, the apprentice will support the learning, development, and wellbeing of pupils. Daily tasks include but are not limited to:
Assist teachers in promoting learning and development, helping to maintain a positive, stimulating and inclusive environment Provide tailored support to pupils, including those with SEND or those with English as an additional language, to promote safety, engagement, and independence Deliver structured learning activities and interventions, and adapt tasks in response to pupil needs under the teacher's direction Encourage positive pupil interactions, nurture self-esteem and confidence, and help manage classroom behavior in line with school policies Help prepare, organise, and maintain learning resources, equipment, and classroom displays Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and contribute to keeping accurate records and observations Supervise pupils during transitions and break times as required, and help ensure physical health, safety, and hygiene needs are met Comply with all safeguarding, equality, health and safety, and data protection policiesTraining:
The apprentice will receive training with apprenticeship specialists RNN Group to achieve the Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
The training will be delivered via a combination of workplace mentoring, observations, and structured training sessions at college or online as agreed with the provider.
Training Outcome:
Opportunity to secure a permanent teaching assistant post within the school upon successful completion.

Working Hours :
Details of working week Monday - Friday, term-time only (39 weeks per year). Hours 30 - 37 hours per week (to be finalised upon contract agreement).
