Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprentice (Level 4)

What You'll Be Doing

As an Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprentice, you will support engineering projects from concept through to production. Your responsibilities will include:

Engaging with customers to understand technical requirements and project specifications. Assisting with the development of bespoke electrical and cable assembly solutions. Producing and updating engineering drawings using CAD software. Supporting prototype builds, product development, and testing activities. Assisting with technical proposals, quotations, and project documentation. Creating work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and test procedures. Working with production teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes. Learning and applying industry quality standards, including AS9100 requirements. Contributing to continuous improvement and engineering projects across the business.

Training:

You will complete a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship, combining practical workplace experience with structured off-the-job learning delivered by an approved training provider.

This apprenticeship will require 1 day a week training at Oaklands College Welwyn Garden City Campus. 

Training Outcome:

Successful apprentices will have the opportunity to progress into permanent engineering roles within the business, developing specialist skills and building a long-term career with a growing and innovative company.
