Apprentice Engineering Maintenance Technician

Working alongside experienced engineers to learn electrical and mechanical maintenance techniques Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities on manufacturing equipment Assisting with fault finding, diagnosis, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems Learning how to safely use engineering tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments Supporting the installation, testing, and commissioning of machinery and equipment Developing an understanding of PLCs, motors, sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems Following health, safety, and environmental procedures always Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing apprenticeship coursework Participating in continuous improvement activities to help improve equipment reliability and performance Building the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to achieve the Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician apprenticeship standard

Training:
College Day release One day a week, remaining hours in the work place. Level 3- Engineering Maintenance Technician (Electrical & Mechanical) Apprenticeship

Training Outcome:
Progression to Maintenance Engineer technician

PIL Membranes design, manufacture and test unique polymer membranes for the clothing, electronic, military, and medical markets. Specialise in water vapour transmission products with a range of applications such as leather effect membranes for children’s school shoes; technical and industrial clothing (including anti-static, viral barrier, fire- and chemical-retardant garments); and sports and leisure footwear and apparel.



Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8am- 4pm 36.25 hours per week
