Apprentice LCV Technician
Access Hire Nationwide, part of Kelling Group, is one of the UK's leading providers of vehicle-mounted access platforms and specialist hire equipment.
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have a genuine interest in vehicle maintenance and repair to join our workshop team as an Apprentice Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience whilst working towards a nationally recognised Level 2 Autocare Technician qualification. You'll learn from experienced technicians, develop practical skills in a busy workshop environment and build the foundations for a long-term career within the automotive industry.
What You'll Learn:
During your apprenticeship you will gain experience in:
Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance. Mechanical and electrical diagnostics. Braking, steering and suspension systems. Battery and charging systems. Vehicle inspections and safety checks. Tyre repair and replacement procedures. Workshop tools and diagnostic equipment. Vehicle documentation and service records. Stock management and parts control. Customer service and communication skills. Health, safety and environmental best practice. Emerging vehicle technologies including hybrid and electric vehicle awarenessTraining:
You will attend Castleford College on a day release basis alongside regular on-site assessor visits.
Training Outcome:
Clear progression opportunities within Kelling Group upon successful completion of your apprenticeship.
LCV Technician and further education to level 3 if/when available.
