Machining Apprentice

As a Machining Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced machinists and engineers to manufacture components used in the production of heat exchangers. You will receive training in a range of machining processes and develop the skills required to produce high-quality components safely and efficiently.

Your duties will include:

• Setting up and operating manual horizontal and vertical boring machines.

• Operating and maintaining manual centre lathes.

Operating CNC drilling machines and learning CNC machining principles.

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Selecting and using appropriate cutting tools, measuring equipment, and fixtures.

• Carrying out dimensional inspections using precision measuring instruments.

• Maintaining quality standards and recording inspection results.

• Following company health, safety, and environmental procedures.

• Supporting continuous improvement activities within the machine shop.

 



Training:

Training will be provided at our premises within our workshops. one day a week will be attending college. 



Training Outcome:

Full time employment as a skilled machinist with in our business.

Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4pm Friday : 7.30am - 3pm
