Fabrication & Welding Apprentice
As a Fabrication and Welding Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced engineers and learn a wide range of fabrication and welding techniques within a busy aerospace manufacturing environment.
Your duties will include:
Learning TIG, MIG and brazing techniques on stainless steel, aluminium and other materials Assisting with the fabrication and assembly of components Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions Using hand tools, fabrication equipment and measuring instruments Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets required standards Completing job documentation and following customer specifications Maintaining a safe and organised work area in line with health & safety and 5S standards Working as part of a skilled production team to support the manufacture of aerospace componentsAs your skills develop, you will take on increasing responsibility and gain hands-on experience across all aspects of fabrication and welding.
Training:
Training will be delivered through a combination of practical workplace learning and off-the-job training with the training provider. The apprentice will receive hands-on training from experienced fabricators and welders, developing skills in TIG and MIG welding, brazing, fabrication techniques, interpreting engineering drawings, quality inspection, and safe working practices. Working within an aerospace manufacturing environment, the apprentice will gain experience fabricating and welding stainless steel, aluminium and other engineering materials while learning industry-standard processes, quality requirements, and health and safety procedures.
Training Outcome:
Progression to full-time employment.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday 07:15 am - 4:45 pm & Friday 07:15 am - 12:15 pm.
