Apprentice Engineering Technician

Typical tasks include:

Assisting with the preparation and execution of laboratory and field-based testing activities. Supporting hydraulic pressure testing and fatigue testing programmes. Learning to safely operate hand tools, workshop equipment and specialist testing apparatus. Assisting with materials, coatings and metallurgical testing activities.Recording, analysing and documenting test results accurately. Supporting laboratory-based failure investigations and technical projects.
Maintaining testing equipment and ensuring work areas are kept safe and organised. Following internal procedures, client specifications and relevant industry standards. Working in accordance with ROSEN's health, safety and quality requirements at all times. Developing technical knowledge and practical skills through structured training and mentoring.

At our UK office in Newcastle Upon Tyne, we are now recruiting for an Apprentice Engineering Technician to join our established Test Facility team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in engineering and gain practical, hands-on experience whilst completing a recognised UK apprenticeship programme.

Our Test Facility team carries out a wide range of technical activities, primarily supporting the energy sector. Typical projects include performance testing of products and solutions for the UK gas distribution network, experimental and bespoke testing programmes, materials and coatings testing, and laboratory based failure investigations.

The successful candidate will undertake a structured apprenticeship programme comprising academic study, on-the-job training and specialist skills development.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will be supported and mentored by experienced engineers and technicians, gaining exposure to a variety of engineering disciplines and testing activities.



Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 37.5 hours.
