Engineering Operative (Boatyard) Apprentice
Your daily work will span a wide range of tasks including, but not limited to:
Antifouling, preparing hulls, applying antifoul coatings and bottom paint. Boat polishing and detailing, compound and polish to a high finish standard. Boat valeting - interior and exterior cleaning to customer-ready standard. Keeping the boatyard, workshops and pontoons clean and tidy. Supporting senior engineers and technicians on complex jobs. Liaising with boat owners and hire customers professionally.Training:
The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Level 2 Engineering operations (Manufacturing and Maintenance pathway). The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This is a Day Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln college 1 day a week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the apprentice will be offered the opportunity to progress into a permanent position within the business, subject to performance and business needs.

Working Hours :
