Test Engineer

Holt Executive is working in partnership with a leading provider of advanced engineering and manufacturing solutions, widely recognised for delivering cutting-edge innovations across sectors such as Aerospace, Defence, and Automotive. As part of their continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a Test Engineer to join their high-performing team and contribute to the company’s ongoing success. Key Responsibilities of the Test Engineer: - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures to ensure product and system functionality and performance. - Carry out testing on both prototypes and final products, verifying compliance with design specifications, safety criteria, and regulatory standards. - Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and production teams to detect and address potential issues early in development. - Analyse test outcomes to identify defects or areas for improvement, offering detailed feedback to optimise design. - Troubleshoot testing challenges by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. - Ensure all testing and validation processes align with relevant industry standards and safety regulations. - Produce and maintain thorough test documentation, reports, and records for both internal and external stakeholders. - Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending enhancements to testing methodologies, tools, or workflows. Key Experience & Qualifications of the Test Engineer: - Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industries. - Demonstrated experience in testing and validating systems, components, or products—ideally within electronics or manufacturing environments. - Solid understanding of both manual and automated testing techniques, tools, and best practices. - Skilled in defect tracking, root cause analysis, and reporting findings in a clear, actionable format. - Familiar with regulatory and industry standards relevant to product testing (e.g., CE, UL, ISO). - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and QA teams. - A degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline is preferred.
