Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
Filing, deburring and removing sharp edges and corners Manufacturing parts out of stell and aluminium Working on manual lathes and milling machines Cutting material on an automatic bandsaw Reading and understanding engineering drawings Adhereing to health and safety Using measuring equipmentTraining:
The learner will be studying the Machining Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification Day release to West Suffolk College
Training Outcome:
The apprentice have the opportunity of securing a full-time role upon completion of the apprenticeship
Employer Description:
Ashe manufactures a range of slitter/rewinders that it designs, develops and sells worldwide. the machines go into the packaging industry as well as the medical, cosmetic, paper, aluminium, beverages, etc. the machines basically take a parent reel of material and slits it down to size into smaller reels for the product to be put onto the wrapper, carton, box, bottle, etc.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, between 8.00am and 4.30pm
