Apprentice Welder Fabricator

While working alongside a dedicated workshop team, key duties will include:

Reading and interpreting technical drawings to accurately mark out, cut, drill and prepare sheet and heavy steel components. Safely operating Mig/Mag, Tig Welding Equipment. Conducting routine quality checks on finished components while maintaining a safe working environment.

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

You will attend Leicester College Abbey Park Campus one day every week to complete the Level 3 Metal Fabricator Apprenticeship. You will spend the other 4 days every week at work with Dustraction LTD.



Training Outcome:

As you gain experience, progression opportunities include Team Leader Role or a transition into Specialised Fitting/Fabrication.
