All usual yard duties would be included such as:

Applicants must already have good foundation skills and knowledge of working with horses but there will be plenty of support to improve. Also, opportunity for regular lessons and chance to compete at our shows Ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop skills in coaching Mucking out Turning out and bringing in Keeping the yard clean and tidy

Training:

Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship Standard:

If required, we will support you in working towards your Functional Skills in maths and / or English at Level 2 All training for the apprenticeship will be completed on site with the employer and Haddon Training

Training Outcome:

There could be a chance of employment at the end of the apprenticeship for the right candidate.



Employer Description:
With a lifelong passion for horses Paula started Fourwinds Equestrian Centre lover 40 years ago way before the internet and facebook. Having successfully competed at novice and intermediate eventing, Paula now focuses on dressage. She is still actively involved in teaching within the riding school, from beginner to advanced level. Paula is responsible for the staff and student training, is a qualified assessor and verifier for NVQs.

Working Hours :
Final shift pattern to be discussed and agreed with the successful applicant. There is no accommodation or livery available on-site so please ensure you are able to make your way to and from the yard each day.
