Apprentice Home Care and Support Worker

Your duties will include:

To provide personal, practical, social and emotional support within the client’s home and out in the community. To follow the care and support plan for each individual client. Support with medication and or administering medication in accordance with the MAR chart. To respect the client's wishes, ensuring dignity, respect and privacy, whilst promoting independence. Ensure daily records are completed for each client attended.

Training:

This apprenticeship is aimed at those who are able to take more of a lead role in supporting other staff to care for service users. The Care Certificate and the level 3 diploma in adult care prior to entering Gateway, the apprentice will attend regular monthly training sessions, either remotely or face to face, or a mixture of both, with observations of working practice taking place.

Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, a permanent position may be offered with the potential of a supervisory position.
