Commis Chef Apprentice

General Duties:

Prepare, cook, and finish a wide variety of dishes using fresh ingredients, following directions from senior chefs Carry out basic cooking tasks under supervision while developing classical and contemporary techniques Accurately measure and portion ingredients in line with recipe specifications Maintain organised workstations and storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency Rotate stock, check deliveries, prioritise items nearing expiry, and report shortages Communicate clearly to maintain a smooth service flow and meet customer expectations Contribute to menu reviews and the refreshing of dishes based on business and customer needs

Training:

Training with Milton Keynes College. Ongoing training, support and development with the employer.



Training Outcome:

A permanent position may be on offer upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
