Early Years Apprentice

Support children's learning and development through play and planned activities.Help create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment. Assist with daily care routines, including meals, toileting, and hygiene. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Observe children's progress and contribute to learning records. Support outdoor play and educational activities. Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times. Help prepare and tidy learning areas and resources. Encourage children's independence, confidence, and social skills. Attend training sessions and complete apprenticeship coursework.

Training:

Training will take place face-to-face at your nursery, so there is no need to travel to a college or training centre. A dedicated Training Works tutor will visit every 4 weeks to provide one-to-one support, carry out progress reviews, and deliver apprenticeship training alongside on-the-job learning.



Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of the Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship, there are excellent opportunities to progress within the early years sector. The apprentice could continue their professional development by progressing onto a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, with future opportunities to move into roles such as Room Leader, Deputy Manager, or Nursery Manager. There may also be opportunities for ongoing career development within Little Georges Nursery.

Little George’s Nursery School was established in 2017 by Diane Meyer NNEB and Kamini Chamberlain BA Hons with QTS. With many years of experience in early years education, the team is dedicated to providing a high standard of care and learning for children aged 2–4 years.

The nursery offers a fun, friendly, secure, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to learn, develop, and build confidence through play and positive relationships. Working Hours :
Monday to Friday. Working hours are to be confirmed with the nursery and will be agreed with the successful apprentice before starting the role.
