Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprentice - Electrical

Working closely with experienced and qualified staff you will develop your knowledge of low voltage switchgear products, read, and interpret schematics / drawings, control panel layout and fitting, wiring cabinets and switchgear electrical repairs

Training:
You will work towards achieving a Level 3 advanced Engineering Maintenance Technician - Electrical apprenticeship, attending NWTC Training Centre on day release, for training and Further Education. The remainder of your time will be spent with your employer training whilst employed. NWTC will monitor your Apprenticeship on a regular basis to ensure you achieve the standards required including core skills, knowledge and occupational behaviours in preparation for End point assessment and where required Functional Skills

Training Outcome:
At the end of the apprenticeship, candidates will be suitably trained and continue their employment dependant on the business needs at the time Further in-house and external training and development available Potential L4 / HNC for the right candidate at the right time

Employer Description:
MAJAS Switchgear Limited are specialists in the custom design of electrical switchgear products and have the skills and knowledge within a fully integrated engineering team to manage projects from initial design and evaluation through to final installation. From our manufacturing facility in Haydock we design, manufacture and distribute low voltage switchgear products for commercial and industrial applications around the world.

Working Hours :
40 Hours Per Week Monday- Thursday 07.00- 16.00 30 min unpaid lunch Friday 07.00- 13.00 This equates to 8.5 hrs x 4 = 34 + 6 (Friday) = 40 hrs.
