Apprentice CMM Service Engineer
Initially, the role will be workshop-based while training is completed. Upon successful completion of the training programme you will progress into a Field Service Engineer position, providing on-site support to customers.
On a typical day, you will:
Assist with the assembly and build of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) by following technical build manuals and engineering documentation. Read and interpret wiring diagrams to assemble and connect interface cables. Support the setup, testing, and calibration of measuring machines using certified master artefacts. Assist with the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems. Perform quality checks and ensure all work meets company and industry standards. Maintain accurate service and calibration records. Adhere to all health and safety procedures within the workshop and customer environments.Training:
You will spend 4 days each week working alongside skilled professionals in the workplace, and 1 day each week completing training at Derby College's Roundhouse campus.
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you could progress to a Field Service Engineer role.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 4.30pm. Friday, 7.30am to 3.00pm. 30 minute lunch break.
