Machining Technician Apprentice
What you will learn:
Apprentices will learn from experienced professionals, gain hands-on industry experience, and develop the skills needed for a successful career in engineering within a high-quality aerospace manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning all aspects of manual and CNC milling and turning Assisting with the machining of stainless steel, aluminium and other engineering materials Learning how to set tools and operate machinery safely Developing CNC programming skills Using a variety of measuring and inspection equipment Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and customer specifications Completing job cards and production documentation Following health and safety procedures and working to 5S standards Supporting the production team to manufacture high-quality aerospace components As your skills and knowledge develop, you will take on increasing responsibility and gain experience across all aspects of machining and engineering manufactureWho you will be:
Someone who has a genuine interest in engineering and manufacturing and be keen to develop a career in precision machining Someone with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude who demonstrates a willingness to learn Someone who is self-motivated, reliable, and eager to learn new skills while working as part of a highly skilled team Someone who is interested in problem-solving and producing high-quality work is essential, along with a commitment to achieving the apprenticeship qualification Someone who has IT experience in many machining environments using CNC software, digital job cards and production systemsTraining Outcome:
There is potential for a permanent role on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday – 7.15am-4.15pm, Friday 7am-12noon – one day per week set aside for work-based study.
