Welding apprentice

The individual will be required to build and maintain our piling equipment using the welding skills that they acquire. On site Welding supervisor will aid with instructions and guidance regarding the repairs and help the individual when required.

As you progress, you may be asked to help on more tasking jobs and help fabricated some of our equipment.

Once fully qualified, further qualifications are a potential as you progress with Central Piling.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

Hard facing Equipment repair House keeping Fabrication Slinging equipment

Training:
The apprentice will be working towards the Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship Standard - The Welding & Fabrication Pathway (Option 4 Fabrication Role) This is a 12-18-month duration apprenticeship with college attendance required once per week at Colchester Institute's Braintree Campus, transport from Colchester campus provided

Training Outcome:

Once qualified and you have been with us for a while the option to become a coded welder will become an option.

We pride ourselves on understanding the environment within which we work and being a responsible contractor.



Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm. Morning lunch break 10:00am - 10:22am and another afternoon lunch break at 1:00pm - 1:30pm.
