Product Development Technician (Luxury Bridal & Evening Wear)

Location: Harlaxton, Grantham, (NG32)

Salary: £28,500- £33,000 DOE

Job Type: 40 hour week, Monday - Friday

We are seeking an experienced detail-orientated Product Development Technician with excellent garment construction knowledge, to join the friendly and creative team at our clients office based in Grantham, Lincolnshire.



The Role:

As Product Development Technician, you would be joining a small highly talented team of skilled technicians who work collectively to deliver excellence, creating exquisite hand crafted bespoke gowns and event wear.

Reporting to the Production and Account Managers, this is a "hands on" role working with the sample and production departments to facilitate the development of the range of bridal and event wear through into production.



Responsibilities:

? New fabric and trim sourcing
? Efficient data management-Set up and maintain new designs on the database
? Raising all paperwork during the development process and implementation into production
? Create and update tech packs with fit comments, design/fabric/trim change comments, diagrams, and measurements.
? Coordinate all relevant raw materials and trims for development and production, and manage stock checks of fabrics/trims
? Supplier management: ensure suppliers meet company deadlines, and that all components required to make the product are available for the relevant deadlines
? Collation of fabrics and trims for all special couture orders
? Prioritise workload according to fabric delivery and toile development
? Raising and updating cost sheets and wholesale prices
? Manage and maintain fabric libraries
? Photography of new styles for reference in production


Skills and Experience:

? Min 3 years' experience working as a Product Development Technician within luxury brands
? Knowledge of fabrics and trims used in the manufacturing of clothing
