Quantity Surveyor

A leading structural steel specialist is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and cost aspects of structural steel and off-site construction projects, from tender through to final account, in North Yorkshire.

Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum (DOE)

Duties:

Prepare cost estimates, budgets and cash flow forecasts for structural steel and off-site packages Measure and value works in progress; prepare interim valuations and applications for payment Manage subcontractor procurement, accounts and payments, including sub-contract orders and variations Prepare, negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors Produce monthly cost/value reconciliation (CVR) reports for management

Requirements:

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related field (or equivalent experience) Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within structural steel, off-site manufacturing, or the wider construction sector Strong knowledge of forms of contract (JCT/NEC)
