Engineering Fitter Apprentice
The Fitter‘s job concerns plant and machinery installation, maintenance and repairs, replacement of broken or worn parts, adjustment, servicing and checking components, machinery and equipment, component replacement. You will develop skills in areas such as component assembly, tool use, and troubleshooting.
General duties including:
Interpreting and following drawings/diagrams and/or specifications for required component or assembly Planning work activity, including resources, equipment and tooling Producing individual components, for example, keys, pipework, threading, wiring looms, interfacing parts, motors, wiring cables Re-furbishing components Assembling components to produce equipment, machine or system - in full or part Quality checking and adjusting components or assembly against required specification; for example testing and calibrating Identifying and resolving problems with components or assembly; fault diagnosis Handing over completed components or assembly, this may include storage and commissioning Re-instating work area and equipment Contributing to continuous improvement in component production or assemblyTraining:
Training will be at Doncaster College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer.
Day release
You will undertake the Engineering Fitter standard https://www.instituteforapprenticeships.org/apprenticeship-standards/engineering-fitter-v1-1 You will undertake Functional Skills for English and/or maths if neededYou will undertake both on and off-the-job training by a team of industry qualified professionals to give you the best skills, knowledge and experience that will help you become a fitter of the future!
Training Outcome:
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a higher-level apprenticeship or full-time employment for the right candidate

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, between 8.00am to 4:30pm.
