Apprentice Roof Sheeter and Cladder

As an Apprentice Roof Sheeter & Cladder, you will assist in the installation of roofing and cladding systems on commercial and industrial buildings. You will learn how to safely handle tools, materials, and equipment while working towards becoming a fully qualified skilled tradesperson.

Assist with the installation of roof sheeting, wall cladding, and façade systems Help measure, cut, and fit materials such as metal sheets and panels/composites/fibre cements etc. Support senior team members with fixing and securing materials using a range of tools, e.g. impact drivers, drills, snips, circular saws, rivet guns Prepare and maintain work areas, ensuring they are safe and organised Load, unload, and handle materials and equipment safely. Working with cranes, Clad Boy etc. Use hand tools and power tools under supervision Follow technical drawings, instructions, and site plans Comply with all health and safety regulations, especially working at height and with MEWPs Attend training and work towards relevant apprenticeship qualifications

Training:

Training for your apprenticeship involves travelling somewhere else to your training provider - Juniper Training in Aldridge (WS9 8EX), a specialist Roofing Apprenticeship training provider. This is for one week, every five weeks (four weeks working for your employer, then one week with Juniper Training for the duration of the apprenticeship).

Training Outcome:

Once qualified you can apply for your Blue CSCS Skilled Worker's card. There will be progression within the company for the right candidate.

Working Hours :
Typically Monday - Friday between the hours of 7.00am - 4.00pm, 8 hour shifts but may need to be flexible if working away or any weekend work is required.
