Childcare Apprenticeship - Shrewsbury

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced practitioners to support children's learning, development and wellbeing while working towards a recognised childcare qualification. You will gain valuable hands-on experience across all aspects of nursery practice, including supporting daily routines, planning activities and promoting positive outcomes for children.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Support the care, learning and development of children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Assist with daily care routines, including mealtimes, personal care and promoting independence. Help plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development. Observe, monitor and record children's progress under the guidance of experienced practitioners. Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children. Support children with additional needs and promote equality, diversity and inclusion. Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues. Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection requirements. Assist with maintaining accurate records, including observations, accidents and incidents. Contribute positively to the wider nursery team and support the smooth running of the setting.

Upon completion of this 12 month apprenticeship, you will have obtained your Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship.



Training Outcome:

There is a possibility of being offered a full time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
