Apprentice Teaching Assistant Level 3

Deliver tailored support to pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis Support pupils to stay engaged and on task during lessons Assist with behaviour management and promote positive learning Support pupils’ social and emotional development Help with reading activities and monitor pupil progress Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom resources Provide feedback on pupil progress to teaching staff Carry out basic admin tasks and support classroom organisation Support pupils’ wellbeing, including during accidents or distress Assist with extracurricular activities and school trips

Training:

The apprentice will attend the Filton Campus of SGS College on a weekly basis, term time only. 

Training Outcome:

As well as ensuring full competency as a Teaching Assistant, this standard provides a foundation for potential progression into a number of career paths in the Educational sector including Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Assistant Teacher and Teacher.

Hillcrest Primary School is a co-educational community school located on Cemetery Road in the Totterdown area of Bristol, BS4 3DE. The school caters to roughly 410 pupils aged 4 to 11 and operates under the values of "PRIDE" (Partnership, Respect, Inclusion, Determination, and Excellence). The school consists of classes from Reception through to Year 6.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday with a day release to College.
