APPRENTICE TEACHING ASSISTANT LEVEL 3

A Level 3 Apprentice Teaching Assistant plays a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school day You will help prepare the classroom each morning, work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning, and support behaviour and engagement in lessons The role includes supervising pupils during breaks, assisting with practical activities, and leading short intervention sessions under the direction of the class teacher As an apprentice, you will develop your skills, reflect on your practice and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment where every child can thrive

Training:

An apprentice teaching assistant at our junior school will receive clear, practical training to help them grow in confidence and develop key classroom skills. This includes safeguarding, supporting learning in core subjects, and helping pupils with additional needs. Working alongside experienced staff, you will learn daily routines, small‑group support and positive behaviour approaches. You will also complete off‑the‑job learning towards the Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, with guidance from a supportive mentor throughout.



Training Outcome:

There is no guarantee of a role at the end of this apprenticeship, but support will be given.
