Senior Adult Care Worker Apprentice

Learn how to develop, review and adapt person‑centred care plans, using your growing knowledge to support high‑quality care Build advanced skills in monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate, understanding how to record and report findings accurately Gain confidence completing medication records and supporting safe medication practices in line with organisational procedures Plan, lead and evaluate meaningful activities that promote residents’ wellbeing, independence and social engagement Develop communication skills by updating families on their relative’s progress in a supportive and professional way Learn to supervise care workers, offering guidance, role‑modelling best practice and helping new starters settle into their roles Be trained to provide emergency cover when required, following agreed ways of working and escalating concerns appropriately Take part in multidisciplinary team meetings, learning how care is coordinated with healthcare professionals and service managers

Training:
Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 1:1 support in the workplace with a dedicated apprenticeship tutor Workshops planned to suit the diary of all parties Monthly reviews Workplace mentor provided Quarterly reviews

Working Hours :
We offer genuine flexibility with part time or full time hours between 20-35 per week. Hours per week for this role are 3 hours. Shifts include daytime, evening and some weekends, and we work with you to create a rota that fits your lifestyle while supporting consistent, high quality care.
