Apprentice Engineering Operative
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
Inspection and testing and drawings understanding. Working with the team to ensure Non-destructive testing is completed per requirements and timelines. Basic appreciation and understanding of LPV, MPF, LPF. Basic understanding of NDT equipment and procedures, including calibration and consumable requirements. Operating a variety of machines (CNC or Conventional); for assembling and repairing machine and press tools.Training:
The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in Level 2 Engineering operations (Manufacturing and Maintenance pathway). The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This is a Day Release programme which means you will attend Lincoln college 1 day a week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.
Training Outcome:
NDT Level 1, progressing onto NDT Level 2.
Employer Description:
We design and manufacture clamp connectors, subsea pipe connectors, seal rings, and boiler inspection caps. We also provide on-site machining services, including milling, bolt tensioning, line boring and inspection services. We work across the water, power generation, offshore, and energy sectors.
Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday, 8.00am - 4.00pm. Friday, 8.00am - 3.30pm.
