Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The Early Years Apprentice will support the work of the Mara Nursery room-based staff and will include:
Working in partnership with the room staff to provide quality activities according to the age of children. To safeguard and promote the safety and welfare of the children in the nursery. To maintain and adhere to relevant codes of practice. Make accurate and reflective observations based upon the individual needs, interests and stages of development of children. To work according to Turtles Nursery values and policies. To attend monthly staff meetings and receive training. To be flexible within the working practices of the setting. To respect confidentiality. To develop your role as a key worker. Specific childcare tasks- ensuring mealtimes are social, changing children as required, developing activities that are relevant to the age/stage of individual children.
Training:
Training will take place in the workplace, allowing the apprentice to learn in a real nursery environment. Additional teaching will be delivered on-site by a Development Coach, with sessions taking place once a month to support progress and development.
Training Outcome:
Once you have completed the Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship, you will be offered a role as a full-time practitioner, and if you like can progress to complete L5.

Working Hours :
Monday 8am - 6pm.
