Apprentice Hairdresser

Responsibilities:

Preparing the salon for the day, including setting up stations, preparing colours, organising perm/colour trolleys, and cutting foils Shampooing and conditioning clients’ hair Applying hair treatments Carrying out reception duties such as re-booking clients, answering the phone, and taking payments Delivering excellent customer service, including offering refreshments, taking coats, and gowning clients for services Assisting stylists by passing tools and materials as required Maintaining salon cleanliness, including dusting retail displays, mopping, and completing end-of-day cleaning tasks Blow drying clients’ hair (once competent and required unit is completed for insurance purposes) Applying toners (once competent and required unit is completed for insurance purposes) Being flexible to cover shifts in other salons during holidays and sickness Attending internal and external training courses as required

Training:
Training with Milton Keynes College Ongoing training, support and development with the employer

Training Outcome:
A role within the company may be on offer upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship
